What is Risk Exposed All About?
RiskExposed.com is a website devoted to governance, risk and controls. Governance, risk and controls are all about controlling outcomes and we are on a mission to explore the various ways organizations can maximize the likelihood of success of their most critical business initiatives. We are composed of consultants, executives, students, professors, regulators, regulators, and policy makers (and many others) who want to better understand the how to win more and lose less in business…and yes…we may still lose sometimes, but at least we can plan for it and minimize the damage.
Though many of our topics take a technology spin, we do not limit ourselves to technology risks. We have a growing topics list that are a few examples of the types of issues we tackle.
- Risk is a function of the likelihood of an event and the impact it will have on a desired result.
- Controls are the tools used to reduce uncertainty and mitigate the likelihood and impact of an undesired outcome.
- Governance is the power and authority used to hold organizations accountable for a stated goal.
